This is the first time I have ventured into a place without checking its ratings on Zomato (how adventurous! .<br/ <br/ The place is busy but not full, seeing it was Saturday 10am, I was pretty doubtful if it'll be good or not.<br/ The service was prompt and our order was taken within 5 minutes. <br/ Food came reasonably quick. The king prawn and egg croissant is a very interesting combination, I really like the fluffy scramble eggs with the furikake (japanese rice seasoning , it's savoury and buttery. My go-to spot whenever I'm in Chatswood! I love the variety on their menu; there's something for everyone. In addition to the classic breakfast dishes, they also offer Asian fusion options that are more filling and, in my opinion, tastier. I absolutely adore their omurice—using Bolognese sauce instead of the typical gravy is a genius twist! The tangy tomato flavor pairs perfectly with the egg, making it irresistible. The coffee here is also a highlight; the soy mocha I ordered was fantastic—not overly bitter or overly sweet like at many other places I’ve tried.
Very welcoming staff. Cleaned the plate off for both pasta and croissant with prawn dishes and could have finished the buttermilk pancakes but we were so full. Really cute cafe! Service was a tad slow but the food was pretty good. The big breakfast is definitely worth the price, it comes loaded and everything was cooked really nicely. The omurice was also very good and huge. Definitely will be back again for more food!

I absolutely loved it! We ordered the Brooklyn beef bagel and the salmon stack, and both dishes were fantastic. The staff was pleasant and friendly, and our food arrived quickly, even though it was a busy time. I will definitely be returning!
This is a lovely cafe for food and coffee near the station. I had the smoked salmon stack with potato hash and haloumi. It is a relatively simple dish but it was very nice and the eggs was perfectly poached. The coffee was also really good.
I really enjoy Salt Light, it has a lovely atmosphere and Gloria who was looking after me was so sweet. The food was vibrant and lots of variety... most importantly, it tasted great! I look forward to coming back again.

For the big breakfast, I would rate it a 7 out of 10. The toast was burnt, and the eggs lacked seasoning.
However, the king prawn croissant was much better, earning an 8.5 out of 10.
