We arrived pretty early (6:15pm) with quest at the bar and food service counters building. Took a while to get drinks and then joined the even longer food queue which moves very slowly. My adult son and I went here for a quick dinner last night. We decided to eat in the Sports Bar as we were there for the meal rather than a longer experience over dinner in the bistro. After arriving in the dining room area, we chose from the menu and went to order our meals, only to be told we needed to stand and wait, forming a line with other diners, until they had served lunches to diners in another dining area. After 15 minutes wait, the queue was extremely long and prospective diners were getting restless. Eventually, we were given permission to approach the counter to order. The young lady taking the orders appeared to be on a 'go slow'. After a long wait our meals arrived. Decided to have Dinner in the main part of the Hotel the first night. My husband ordered the Special of the day which was 1/2 Lobster Mornay with Rump steak and salad. The lobster was like leather, dry and so tough. I was so shocked at the state of it... The steak was fine, so he managed to eat something at least. My meal was the barramundi with vegetables which was also dry. So ordering seafood not a wise choice at all for the price. We had 3 chicken schnitzels with mushroom gravy. The chicken was cooked but looked like the pre-prepared pieces you get from the supermarket. One serving had mashed potato that looked like what you buy in packets not fresh. The chips weren't bad but after waiting an hour for your meal anything seems ok. Won't be coming back here. Cost $24 per serve. May be profitable but not great for the customer.
Dined here for a couple of times as we were house hunting in the area and returning home late. This place is convenient as it is open late.Food: Average, some dishes are decent, some are not.Drinks: House wine is poor. I felt like in Thailand... Nothing special. If you need to have dinner in the area you get average pub food with decent service.
Classic pub in Australia. Food reheated and staff barely helpful. I would say skip it, but they do have one great thing - 5 pinball machines all in great condition well worth a play if you like pinball. AC/DC, Kiss, Ghostbusters, Indian Jones and Arabian Nights.

The wait to order food was enough to send you to sleep. The food was average at best; I chose not to eat the majority of the cold steak that was served to me after a very long wait. Reasonable playroom that has shiny snail trails all along the carpet edges
