We loved Schloss-Stuberl. It certainly is not fancy, but after a week of heavy German food, this hit the spot. Get the half chicken! It is delicious. Cheap beer, cheap meal (also refreshing after a week on vacation). The bartenders were friendly, and one spoke...English.
Order at the outside counter and lunch is soon brought to your outdoor table. It is a short walk directly in from the Tourist Information im AlpenCongress, which has a WC. We had the bratwurst and fries, which was good.
After 24 years, once again, the host has lost nothing of his sympathetic way! An absolute must for a stay in Berchtesgaden, the chickens are always excellent! Until the next time, greetings from the Odenwald.

Good and cheap. In this respect, nothing has changed since my youth. The Deifi (Teufelstoast) is unsurpassed! A castle floor is legend.
