very nice setting on a rainy day at the lake. Big windows with views of lake; menu covers the main dishes of the area, but is limited in choices. Nice wine selection, service was ok, though she forgot to bring my glass of wine - but to be fair, I wasn't charged for it, either. The actual building/location are worth a visit, but other restaurants offer a more exciting menu selection.

The restaurant is part of an actual castle and is quite charming. The terrace on a lovely evening is fabulous. When the weather is not so great there is a glass front onto the terrace/lake.The food is quite good (Bodenseefelche) and the open wines are local and good. We expected tourist fare and were quite happily surprised. Service was ok but no great shakes.

Eat on the Terrace if weather permits. We saw the Chef congratulated several times and he deserved it! If we had known a bit more German we would have done that too!!

We had dinner when we arrived and had a nice evening. Food was really good fish, meat with chanterelle. Service was fast and smooth with a nice local wine selection.
