Tucked in a still pocket away from the corporate hubbub of William Street, Schmucks Bagels is the perfect spot to catch your breath.<br/ <br/ More than an escape, however, Schmucks serves some of the most creative, idyllic bagels in the city (take for example the Miso Schmick Tuna – a sesame bagel with ‘miso line caught tuna, wasabi peas, kewpie mayo, pickled ginger, pea-shoots and iceberg lettuce’ .<br/ <br/ Seeing the team at Schmucks at work is rather impressive. A group of around eight invariably friendly staff form what one could only call a highly organised assembly line behind the counter, churning out roll after roll. It’s a sightly process, worth sitting inside to witness in itself....
Bagels.<br/ <br/ The place is quite hidden, but on a lunch time it was totally packed. The staffs were really friendly and my bagel took a reasonable time considering the line. It was a bit noisy as it was crowded.<br/ <br/ Had the blueberry bagel with cream cheese and dried raspberry. The bagel itself were nice, slightly crispy on the outside and has a nice chewy texture, though the blueberry flavour wasn't apparent becasue it's smeared with the cream cheese which was really generous. I was expecting it to be sweet for some reason but it wasn't so I asked if I could purchase extra honey and they gave it to me for free which was really nice. <br/ <br/ Overall, some were tad bit pricy but yum...
In the city and my son took us for a bagel.We all love bagels and this is a place that does them in spades. Down an alley and behind the courts? There are several places nearby for food but this morning they were closed with the bagel place open.Good customer service and the manager was coaching her staff and doing some training as there were. It many clients.My bagel could well have been super sweet however it was well balanced and fit the spot.Coffee was good but not great. Overall enjoyable. Amazed to see that you can get home delivery, for a cost.
Bagels are just fantastic when they are done right. Schmucks Bagels seem to do a reasonable job. I had their Oy Vey which consisted of tender pulled pork, crunchy slaw and salty tonkatsu sauce. There were some pickles on the side. The bagel itself was nice and chewy. The seeds on the bagel added a subtle nutty flavour. The whole package was a tad salty but it's not going to put me off returning in the near future to try their other offerings.

Hidden in a little laneway off Little Bourke Street, Schmuck’s is bagel heaven with a gourmet selection, as well as the standard offering of toasted blueberry and cream cheese. Giant pickles in glass jars line the counter, and an assembly line of staff busily prepare bagels for takeaway and dine in customers like a well oiled machine.
Relaxing and cosy ambience. The staff was very helpful, especially the waitress Prajakta, who explained the menu to us in detail and made some amazing recommendations - the Nutty Monkey and Hippie Slicker Bagels. The Bagels were tasty and the fillings were generous and fresh. Definitely worth the money spent.
Never had bagels before for breakfast so when mine come out served with capers, pickles and smashed avocado, my eyes lit up! Washed down with a coffee, all for under $13, you can't get better than that in the CBD.
Had blueberry bagel with cream cheese. Tastes really niceeee with load of cream cheese. Fulfill my bagel craving. Not too pricey for a nice bagel treat.

I absolutely love the salmon bagel at this restaurant. The portion size is very generous and I can't express enough how much I enjoy it. It's bomb.com!
Great friendly service. Large variety of bagels! Great for breakfast and lunch. They do takeaway as well as dine in. Service was fantastic and helpful
