Scotty's is a true treasure in the suburbs. If this restaurant was in the city of Chicago, you would gladly stand in line waiting for a table to enjoy the exquisite food; and you wouldn't even blink when you had to pay your bill which would be at least double the amount that Scotty charges in Highwood . They have an excellent menu with lots of variety and culinary pleasures for the discriminate diner. And don't forget the desserts because they are amazing! Staff is also extremely nice and the owner is always there, which is a nice touch! Lou C.
Waitress Polly was clip and not around enough although it seemed like the restaurant was understaffed so maybe not her fault. We ordered before other tables around us and we noticed they all got their food before us. Took almost an hour for our main courses to arrive. Food was just so so, not up to its usual standards. In summary, very disappointing experience.
I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while. The reviews were right it is excellent! The server was friendly and helpful with choosing my meal(chicken Milanese) my friend had the small filet and also perfect. Cost for dinner was very reasonable at $50. Will definitely be a new favorite!
Sauces too salty and not refined. Lemon sauce in chicken and brown sauce on potk chops were poor. Cherry pie filling was great but the pastry was not flaky. Key lime pie was tasty but the bottom was soggy. Salads were good and pizza ok. Portions are geberous.

The staff was very accommodating to our large group. Everyone was pleased with what they ordered. The atmosphere was very conducive to conversation. Jay, our server, was friendly and fun while being professional. We will be back.
We dine a Scotty's once or so per month. Always very pleased. Outstanding wait staff and a fine menu. Scotty himself is on the scene, quietly overseeing that the operation is running smoothly. We recommend this restaurant highly.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends at Scotty's last night. The food was delicious, the service was good and we were able to sit outside which was wonderful for a beautiful summer evening. We will definitely return!
This is just like going to Cheers... where everybody knows your name. They great everyone that walks in the door, and make you feel at home. The food is great. Good comfort food. And I love the cocktails!

Love love love Scotty's. No matter how many new restaurants open up, we still crave our favorites at Scotty's. The food is predictably delish with great seasoning and attention to detail on the plate.
