we just returned from the celebration of the 91st birthday of my father. there were nine of us, and we all had a wonderful time and were incredibly good looking. the food was cooked and presented and we thought very cheap. they made a great thing to bring out my father's birthday cake and made him feel very special! good choice of weep and a beautiful pint of harvey's. I would have absolutely no memory of recommending this pub. people, please keep doing what they do. Open up! Many thanks. d.
Lovely, rustic pub with very friendly and accommodating staff. The food is tasty, the beer is cold, and the seating is comfortable, all at reasonable prices. I ordered the 10-ounce Rump Steak, cooked medium, with pepper sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked and juicy, the sauce was excellent, and the chips were great as well. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely consider returning.
A lovely bar and restaurant, plenty of seating inside and out, a good variety of beers and wines, staff very friendly and helpful, plenty of parking, Food very good, but generally you need too book if you want a Sunday roast. I came here for a meal after two other places didn’t work out, and I’m glad I did! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. I had lunch on Saturday with a group of 13, including a dog, and it was one of the best pub lunches I've had in a long time. I ordered the Balmoral chicken from the specials menu, and it was absolutely delicious! The pub itself is lovely, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
I only had dinner here, but it was a delightful experience with delicious food and wonderful service. I would definitely return. For food, I enjoyed the baked Camembert, posh scampi, and the chickpea and sweetcorn burger. I would rate the service a solid 5!

Hidden gem. Great food, staff friendly, nice welcoming atmosphere. Also, historic pub, so ticks a lot of boxes.
