However, the following morning I experienced stomach cramps followed by diarrhoea that lasted for three days. My wife had a similar reaction a few hours later. I contacted Green King Guest services through their website to report our illness, but since we didn't have a food or stool sample to prove that the steak was the cause, they denied any responsibility. Guest relations suggested that we had contracted the bug elsewhere and sent a standard denial letter claiming their establishment was clean and perfect.
I am not one to complain frequently, as my review history will show. However, I believe Green King should focus on retaining customers without avoiding liability in such situations.
