Used to be my first choice for sukiyaki. The quality of food and service was impeccable. The recent visit was way below my expectation and my previous experience here. They no longer saute the green onion and the beef fat in the beginning. Everything was boiled altogether like hot pot. The kelp soup taste like boiled water. Not to mention the lengthy food preparing time. Maybe they switched to a different style of sukiyaki now, although I do prefer the old version. 2 stars for the well maintaine … – show

Nice place for a quick Hot-Pot. Group seating available for up to 9 guests. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Shabu-Shabu and Sukiyaki style hotpots available. No dual hotpots available. Only one broth for the Sukiyaki. Shabu-Shabu is water based. They have very minimal vegetables available. I recommend this place as an entry level into eating hotpots style. The waitstaff is fast and professional. The restaurant is clean. The only suggested improvement is for the restaurant to triple the vege … – show

A cloudy day with rain was perfect for a sukiyaki dinner. Seating both indoors and outdoors, we were able to find a table for two without a reservation around 6 PM, although for later it’s highly recommended to reserve. The waiters were very observant and we never had to wait long. The sukiyaki broth was very deep and flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. We had the wagyu and ribeye which were amazing, and absolutely worth the price. The tea was very good as well and perfect for the chilly d … – show

This was my 3rd time at Shabu-Tatsu, but it was a bit disappointing compared to our 1st and 2nd time. The 1st time we came here was two years ago and we had the impression that everything was detailedly and well prepared and presented, the overall quality was very good. The price is always on the expensive side, but we felt like it was worth it in consideration to food quality, taste and service. The 2nd time we came here for Sukiyaki, and the staff was using a small cube of beef fat to oil th … – show Reserva una mesa ahora

This is my absolute favorite shabu shabu(Japanese hot pot) place in NYC. We got Wagyu, Prime Rib, Snow crab for hot pot. All of them were amazing. Their Wagyu just melts in your mouth and nothing can make you any happier than that. They are very popular so I highly recommend to get reservation ahead of time. They have inside and outside seating. Drink menu is also not too bad.

I came here with family for my mom's birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. The food here was mouthwatering. The meat were cut so thinly, it had light and airy texture. The seafood were fresh. My favorite was the Wagyu Rib Eye Beef, i highly recommend it.
