I am puzzled by the negative reviews and remarks about the staff. In my experience, the employees have been hardworking and friendly, going above and beyond for customers. They are always helpful and polite, and the food is consistently amazing. While the cuisine is Hawaiian-inspired fusion rather than 100% authentic Hawaiian, it is still delicious. I enjoy the combination of sweet, tangy, and salty flavors in the dishes, especially the flavorful tacos. The restaurant is also very consistent in their quality. The owners are also very kind. Shaka is one of my favorite lunch spots. Perhaps they could consider offering some liquor or BYOB options in the future! Haha.

This restaurant serves incredible vegetarian and vegan food. As a vegetarian, it's difficult to find such high-quality non-Indian dishes. The jackfruit tacos are amazing, with a slightly sweet flavor. The vegan version of the Shaka bowl is better, with fresh vegetables that really stand out. The only drawback is that they are a bit less intense in flavor compared to the tacos. The cauliflower taco is unbelievably tasty - the best I've ever had. The smoothies are also fantastic and refreshing. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and a great place to dine in.

Went there with my 6 year old son.We were looking for vegan friendly places in Hoboken and this place popped up on the map.The space was spacious, nice and clean. We came to try their vegan cookies that looked very good.Unfortunately, they weren't tasty at all. Not sure if it was a salty batch or what, I ended up throwing all of them to the trash (tried the chocolate chips and birthday sprinkles).I really hope they'll improve the recipe. We'd love to visit again after they fix them!

Shaka is one of my favorite places to eat in Hoboken! I love that I can get fresh, quality food that also caters to my dietary restrictions. Being dairy free is not easy but Shaka has the most amazing dairy free options including their cookies!! I also love their tacos and house-made sauces, chicken teriyaki dumplings, and avocado egg rolls. And their breakfast tacos and bowls really hit the spot on a lazy Saturday morning. I could honestly eat every meal of the day here.

My law firm used Shaka for catering a lunch event at our office in NYC. Kiersten and Krista delivered the bowls and smoothies in a timely manner, along with menu cards and print outs of all of our options. Everything was perfectly packaged, delicious, and received amazing feedback from our employees. We're so excited to use them again in the future! Overall a wonderful experience.

I really enjoyed the food at Shaka Bowl. If you're in the mood for delicious vegan options, this place is definitely one of the best. The menu offers a lot of customization, which is fantastic. I went for Sunday brunch and had a great experience.

After eating the tuna bowl, I experienced a stomach ache, but the owner was very kind and refunded me via email. She mentioned that the fish is fresh daily and that sometimes raw fish can disagree with people. Instagram: emilyeatsat.
