I have been a regular customer at Shanghai Garden for the past 4 years. The wait time has always been a problem and the quality of the food is inconsistent, though it is usually good. Today, I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for my food to arrive. I called twice, the first time I was told it was only 5 minutes away (it actually took another 30 minutes) and the second time I was told the driver should be there soon (but he wasn't). There was not even a hint of an apology both times. When the food finally arrived, it was burnt. I will not be ordering from them again. I recommend avoiding this restaurant.
Me and my friend were looking forward to this delivery so we ordered through their app which was easy to use. We ordered what we wanted and they sent a message saying that it was received and will be delivered within the hour. HOWEVER, an hour and a half later nothing. We call them and call them, no response. We message over and over again, nothing. They say they provide a delivery service... I think not. They be a quack! On top of that no option to cancel and refund or anything. Money taken from account, no idea how to get refund headache for tomorrow #never again #do not use Thanks for nothing
I decided to try a new restaurant for seafood, but unfortunately, it was the worst Chinese food I have had in a while. The crispy spring rolls were soggy, the mixed seafood was tasteless with chewy squid, prawns, and mussels. The rice was plain, and the Singapore noodles were bland. The free mini spring rolls seemed to be old leftovers. I will not be returning and will stick to Peony in West End Village for consistently good food.
No 89 House special Chow Main Ordered this take away late in the evening. The delivery took 35 min on Deliveroo. This was so good; fresh, the sauce was delicious and the portion was big. The variety of well cooked meat was definitely complimenting each other, good cooking oil was used (Duck, Chicken, Prawn). The occasional price of well seasoned duck meat and generous pieces of chestnut made this one special.

Worst take away ever! First order took 3 hours to arrive but it was a busy Saturday so thought would try them again. Put order in early at 5.30 by 8.15 still no food. Phoned them at 7 and was told it was on its way! Restaurant not answering phone so drove down there to get refund. Terrible service do not use or be prepared to wait hours and hours for your food.
This restaurant is terrible and I will not be ordering from here again. Occasionally the food is okay, but other times it is reheated and looks unappetizing. You can also taste the residue from the wok they have not cleaned properly.
Stone cold, missing items , phoned the restaurant and they just passed the buck. They blamed deliveroo for the missing items too . Real shames as they are so good . Their indifference was depressing . No refund as of yet
Well I looked at the reviews after I had ordered and was somewhat regretting it!! However I have to say it was fine and I have no complaints. Plus I wrote this the next day to make sure I was still fine which I am!

We are ordering delivery from the restaurant quite often. Every time food are delicious, big portions, good packing and still hot. Prices are reasonable. So we are happy to be their customers.
Best take away yet ! A dodgy one last time but this one was superb ! Even still hot!! We were very happy with our choose , many thanks !
