This place has the best Persian food hands down in LA. The service was amazing with a great smile. Very large portions as well. The area and neighborhood may be questionable but this is a hidden gem. They could easily open in a much more affluent neighborhood but the food is delicious. We didn't experience anything bad in the area at all, everyone was nice and smiling, but probably best for to-go and not dine in atmosphere but you will not be disappointed. I cannot stop praising Shayan Express Restaurant! The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel like special guests. Horrible place and they were charging me service fee to use my debit card and nothing was listed concerning service fee for using my debit card. The Cashier couldn 't refund the money back to my card. The place is very messy.

The service was great the food excellent and a great atmosphere. The only downside is bar stools are too hard.
