We stayed in rooms 7, 8 and 9 the weekend of the British Touring Cars Championship. As a family we could not fault the rooms or the service! Beautiful views and perfect location to the Silverstone track which was an easy 15/20 minute walk away. Special shout out to Sam for his outstanding service on the Saturday night. He was managing a very busy bar and restaurant on his own and sadly was facing some unnecessary criticism and rude comments from other diners. We found him to be extremely hard working, polite and professional given the extreme pressure he was under. The staff at this restaurant are very friendly and helpful, but the interior of the golf club feels outdated in comparison to other clubs. I dined there twice during the Silverstone Festival and found the atmosphere to be lacking. The food was decent, but overpriced and the portions were on the smaller side, especially in terms of meat. The selection was also limited. Overall, I would recommend trying a nearby pub or restaurant instead, or splurging on the high prices at Silverstone. Service: 4 Location: 5.
We made a reservation for a group a few days in advance, but the organizer made us feel like an inconvenience even before we arrived. When we got there, the staff's attitude towards us was unfriendly and rude. The food was decent, the drinks were good, but they wouldn't serve us desserts at 9pm because they claimed the kitchen had closed early. this is a fabulous hotel and spa in a beautiful area. an ingenious place for a weekend trip with many things to do in the vase. it's inside.
very nice, but the spa was too busy. we were on Sunday. we did the nightly spa deal that was good for everyone when we shared a room.
