So happy that DSW is finally in Canada! This location is just one block north of Upper Canada Mall with lots of parking in front of the store. The store was less busy than I had expected to be which was great because I can really take my time to look at their selection. The store is very spacious and neatly organized with rows and rows of footwear for both ladies and gents and a small selection of kids shoes. They offer quite a number of brands as well, some that are rarely offered in discount stores (think Geox, Blondo ... Although I do find that many of their shoes are not really discounted. Also there are lots of sizes available (assuming because it's new , so you won't run into the problem of not being to find your size. There is also a lot of sales associates around that can help you find your size. There is a clearance selection at the back with shoes that are an extra 20-70% off depending on the pair of shoes. Most of the selection are between 20-30% off. They also offer a number of seats in each aisle for you to try on shoes, although I wish they had more full length mirrors as it is quite difficult to see with just the mirror under the chair. I would definitely come back in the fall/ winter time to pick up some nice boots and booties (and hopefully score some summer shoes at the clearance! .
Check the website first!!!!! The selection is decent, but it doesn't turn over very often. When I first walked in I was thrilled, but I've been in many times since and not felt the same way. The things that I REALLY want the discounts on, like UGG and Nike, are barely discounted if at all. It's important to note that this is owned by Town Shoes, so you'll get the same sort of stuff. RETURNS: I never buy something without knowing their return policy. I purchased some Madden Girl booties and after a week I decided to return them. They didn't give me any sort of hassle and were happy to return the shoes. It was also a very quick process. SNEAKERS: This store does deserve praise for their excellent selection for Skechers in particular, but also New Balance, Nike, etc. I bought a great pair of NB sneakers that I constantly get compliments on but these were NOT DISCOUNTED, they were the same price as they are everywhere else.
It 's safe to say I 'm in Shoe Heaven every women 's dream : . Maybe even every fashion conscious male 's dream. They carry Many designers such as Ivanka Trump, Kenneth Cole, Guess, Nine West, Puma, Diesel. The list is endless. Beautiful leather purses, belts and accessories for both men and women. The store is well organized, staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you Molly for your help. Before cashing out make sure you ask to get registered for their points programme. WHY? Went to DSW to find a new pair of athletic shoes, toured the store, lots of choice and varieties of shoes. Prices are not bad, combined with sales I'd say the prices are good comparatively speaking. Had lots of help while there, the size I wanted was not in store they were able to order it online for me with free shipping, so check the website in case they don't have what you are looking for. Overall pretty good experience , I'd go back for sure.
