We began our evening at the bar, enjoying a few cocktails before being seated for dinner around 8 PM. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. After waiting for 25 minutes, our waiter, Dylan, finally approached us to take our drink order. However, we didn't see him again for another 20 minutes. We had to ask a helpful busboy to find him so we could place our orders for appetizers and dinner. When Dylan finally returned, he apologized for the delay, stating he had been busy. We visited Sonny's on Sunday at 7:00, hoping to enjoy the same service, food, and atmosphere we experienced during our last visit in the summer of the year before last. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing and the food was only marginally better. They were out of the top four specials on the menu. My daughter and I ordered two different shrimp dishes, both of which had small portions with only four shrimp each. The crab meat stuffing lacked any noticeable crab flavor. Additionally, both the red and white sangria were unappealing, and we ended up not drinking them. Overall, we will not be returning.
phenomenal. I've been here since the renovations two months ago on Saturday night. eating has gone from a 2/5 in the old days to a 5/5 in the new sonnys. the chef should work in a Michelin restaurant, he has made an amazing menu and can never impress. the live music was great. tonight I called and ordered blackened chicken sandwich to lift and take. they had it ready for immediate pick-up. once again, what a delicious culinary experience. that is the best bar, restaurant and take-out in Baldwin. five stars!
Overall, the upgrade has been quite successful, although the metal chairs were uncomfortable. I appreciated the large windows, which create a bright and spacious atmosphere. The bathroom is clean and beautifully designed. However, the dance area felt a bit cramped, and from our seating, we couldn't see the band.

Nice to see they have been working on the place, but the chairs are super uncomfortable for eating dinner. It is rather loud and the 15 TVs were only on 2 channels...could be better. We sat for a good 20 minutes before anyone showed up to say hello and another 15 before drink order was taken.
The potato skins were overcooked. The fish and chips was amazing but a very small dish. The drinks are good. The cream spinach was horrible. Best burgers. Overpriced for the amount of food. They are waterfront so the rent must be crazy. Nice place to hang out and order drinks.
Really enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip, bourbon burgers, the blackened chicken sandwich and special of short rib quesadillas. Waitress Sharon was excellent and gave us good recommendations.
Sonnys has great food and the service is outstanding. Sharon is the best waitress in the world. We love going to sonnys by boat.

Great waterfront dining. Food was way above expectations and this will now be a regular spot for outdoor waterfront dining.
Sonny’s is a hidden gem ..Great service and great food a must if your in the area
