We booked this restaurant to use a yums voucher so we had no expectations. We were surprised to find this tucked away restaurant when we arrived no one was eating . Service was dreadfully slow , one man running around with his face mask hanging off , he was cooking the food as well as running the front of the restaurant it appeared . It had a fawlty towers feel to it . We waited 40 minutes for our food to appear we were very hungry . The food we had was standard Indian butter chicken and Biryani. After a while more family members appeared to turn up to help . Groups kept coming in but tables were not cleared from the previous patrons so they all had to wait. Plenty of takeaways were leaving...
We waited nearly two hours for food. When it FINALLY arrived it looked terrible. There were only two people working in the restaurant, owner and a very young waitress. he did all the cooking. I suspect he run out of food and gave us left overs of sort!!! I didnt want to embarrass my guest, so I just paid and we left.. The worst, the very worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. And for somebody who owned and run one its something to say!
My family often eats at this restaurant. It's never too crowded on weekends, so we always receive good service. The casual atmosphere is perfect for young children. We also get takeaway from here regularly. The food is always delicious, with generous portions and quality meat. After trying all the Indian restaurants in the area, this one is always our top choice.
a great little restaurant that stands above its weight, especially the entrees. the fish amritsari is for dying, beautiful juicy pieces of fish with spicy gluten-free besan (chickpea flour) teig, plus the tandoori lambchops are generous and tasteful. well done mr. sood!

the first time we eat there, and we were pleasantly surprised by this local restaurant. we were greeted by the owner, the food was really good, as well as the service. we're coming back!
great delicious food and good variety. friendly waiting staff and excellent table service. the prices were really good. we would recommend soods as an authentic Indian cuisine.
We ordered a Tandoori Chicken and Vegetable Biryani. The food was fresh, succulent and delicious probably the best tandoori chicken I have ever eaten.
we live close, but never fed before. nice to eat with very good quality. we'll be back soon to take or eat.

not bad, but not unbelievable. butter huh a little sweet. samosa was overcooked. papadums are nice!
Great to be out of lockdown and even better to head to Soods. A gem of a place in the Forest!
