We had another excellent dinner at the restaurant, although it was a bit pricey. The quality of the food and the service were definitely worth the money. I was disappointed that they no longer offered smaller main courses like fish and chips, sausages, or ham. However, my steak, mushroom, and ale pie was absolutely delicious. It was filled with chunks of tender steak in a pie crust, although there were no mushrooms as advertised. Additionally, the menu did not mention mashed carrots, which was a bit surprising. What I particularly liked, was that even though there was a fixed price and very extensive Christmas menu, the normal a la carte menu, which was even more extensive, was also available. I have never seen such a wide range of food choices available at lunchtime. Staff were very attentive and polite, and the ambience in the venue was wonderful. as Jubilee graphics red and I on the sparrowhawk, where we were not before, for a celebrity brunch. the two young, fidget and shy, also in tow. it was very early, so no one around and we were warmly welcomed and sitting on the entrance. we ordered the brunch menu. this place is not the cheapest, but they pay for the beautiful location. the dining room itself, as it is through a large house and facilities, are well decorated with old paintings and prints and there is also an extensive outdoor sitting area we waited for someone who takes our order, a simple ****, but not great when we were the only one...read more

Never knew there was a Brunning and Price so close to Ainsdale beach what a location! Food and service on form as expected from one of the group Special mention to Lucas for looking after us. Lovely building and grounds. Not local to us, but definitely will be making another visit when in the area

I have visited this restaurant several times and each time it continues to improve. The food was delicious and served very promptly. Dogs were also warmly welcomed. This definitely won't be my last visit to the Sparrowhawk.

A lovely restaurant. The food was delicious. There is a good selection of wines too. And a massive shout out to the fabulous staff.
