We had another excellent dinner at the restaurant, although it was a bit pricey. The quality of the food and the service were definitely worth the money. I was disappointed that they no longer offered smaller main courses like fish and chips, sausages, or ham. However, my steak, mushroom, and ale pie was absolutely delicious. It was filled with chunks of tender steak in a pie crust, although there were no mushrooms as advertised. Additionally, the menu did not mention mashed carrots, which was a bit surprising. First visit to The Sparrowhawk and definitely won’t be our last. Beautiful building in immaculate gardens and stylish decor throughout. Warm and inviting on a cold day with helpful and friendly staff. We ate the black pudding starter, with poached egg butternut squash purée and crispy kale, followed by the classic steak burger and roast chicken breast with tomato risotto and crispy sage. The food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. Special thanks to Alex and his team for making us feel so welcome.
Just had a wonderful meal at The Sparrowhawk. Lovely friendly welcome and excellent service from Alex and his team, especially Emma who looked after us. Top quality food, the Black Pudding starter and Roast Chicken Tomato Risotto being particular favourites. Grand building with lovely gardens outside, stylish decor and warm fire inside. Would highly recommend and we will be returning soon. Thank you
This restaurant is fantastic. I had lunch with some friends who also have dogs. The staff welcomed us warmly, both humans and furry friends. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. I give it 5 stars and will definitely be coming back. Shoutout to Alex who went above and beyond to make our visit special.

Never knew there was a Brunning and Price so close to Ainsdale beach what a location! Food and service on form as expected from one of the group Special mention to Lucas for looking after us. Lovely building and grounds. Not local to us, but definitely will be making another visit when in the area
I have visited this restaurant several times and each time it continues to improve. The food was delicious and served very promptly. Dogs were also warmly welcomed. This definitely won't be my last visit to the Sparrowhawk.
The only place where you and your dog can dine like kings Excellent food and service Have been to other similar places but the Sparrowhawk is far better and value for money
The Sunday roast was spot on! A bit more pricey than normal roasts but worth it. Will definitely be back. Make sure to book to avoid disappointment though.

A lovely restaurant. The food was delicious. There is a good selection of wines too. And a massive shout out to the fabulous staff.
Had a fabulous dog walk. Called on our way back with a group of friends had the celeriac soup and crusty bread magic
