I have been camping eating at this place since I was a kid it was KnK Marina, my parents all there friends would go camping there in the 70s, never had bad service until yesterday 1-12-25. I am moving to the area next week. Some of my family was helping me we decided to get take out at Sportsman’s Cafe. We ordered 2 sliced beef sandwiches, a chicken spud, a chopped beef spud not a bbq spud an order of onion rings. We entered the restaurant and were greeted with unfriendly stares from the staff. No one acknowledged us or directed us to a seat. After finding the only clean table available, we sat down but had to wait several minutes for a waitress to stroll over and barely introduce herself. At that point, it was clear to us that it wasn't worth the wait, so we left without ordering anything. Save yourself the trouble and don't come here.
Someone needs to teach the cooks on how to cook and prepare food. Hamburger steak should be one patty not 3 small Hamburger patties Gravy should be brown not beige. Very poor food quality. Breakfast was really good, but the portions were small. The pancakes weren't as large as they appeared in the pictures—more like the size of a softball. However, all the food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly.

The food was excellent, and the service was equally impressive. We dined in for dinner, and I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well. I highly recommend the Combination Platter!
The waitress was excellent, but the food took a long time to arrive and was only lukewarm when it did. We dined in for dinner, and the cost per person was around $20–30.
We’ve had many meals here, and not a single one was disappointing—all were delicious. The prices are also reasonable. The salad bar is fantastic!
