I have driven past this diner car many times and always considered stopping in. If I had known it was ALIEN THEMED, I would have visited much sooner! I adore the UFO above the sign outside, as well as the red booths, silver metal decor, sci-fi movie posters, and alien decorations inside. The waitress embodied the classic roadside diner waitress vibe, which I appreciated. The mix of local regulars and travelers passing through added to the charming atmosphere. While the diner specializes in burgers and steaks, it would be great to see a few more vegetarian options on the menu. Waited 30 minutes to be seated because we wanted to try a new place. Restaurant was clean, covid precautions were in place. We were the only patrons wearing masks. Food was served within 10 minutes.Tea was tepid. Tea needs boiling water to brew. Coffee was...weak. Liver onions were cold flavourless. Clubhouse sandwich was could have used mayo, salt, mustard crispy bacon. It was pretty bad. Mashed potatoes were okay but the gravy was bland. Only ate 1/4 of the sandwich. $48 for three people’s lunch was hefty. No one ate even half of what they were served. I plan to stop in Olds, Innifail or Red Deer instead. Staff did not seem concerned when we stated the food was poor.
We have stopped in Bowden at the Starlite Diner for years. Adequate food, good location, awesome atmosphere. This time, we were greeted by a sign on the door Due to government handouts, no one wants to work anymore, so we will be closed on...Tuesdays. Underneath was a help wanted sign. Unfortunately, this sign said more about the ownership of the diner and how they regard their staff than the political commentary they intended to make. Staff looked miserable and service was slow
no sign at the input that requires qr codes. we sat up to order at the bar and noticed the chefs in the kitchen do not wear gloves and do not wear masks, but we were asked to wear masks and show our Qr codes or. we cannot be served. the cook and waitress have not shown us their Qr codes? no masks about the people who prepare our food, scared me and yet are we asked for our Qr codes? we have gone out.

beautiful that this place has survived, never had a bad meal from here, in which the club sandwich is my going with fries and gravy. GF options are available for those who need it. the staff are friendly and local. had a great chat with a regular about the local history. always stop when they travel to edmonton. restaurant is neat sci fi themed, coffee is good.
We enjoyed our lunch stop at the diner. The waitresses are super friendly and it’s very clean in there. I had the corn beef and it was perfect. The prices are very reasonable and it seems like the food is made with attention to detail....Good portions and tasty.
Best breakfast on the QE2, easy pulloff, south of red deer, easy access back onto QE2, service is great, staff friendly, cook is great, actually get what you order, best 30 mins spent, appreciate the hospitality. Order at will cant go wrong, affordable.
The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was delicious. However, I feel that the prices are a bit high considering the overall experience. It seems a bit overpriced for what you get.

Meator and comet burgers we're SO good! Fries with crispy and well seasoned. Cool place to eat and really friendly server. I highly recommend. Clean and practiced good social distancing. Would eat here again.
