This place is consistently great. I used to come here for lunch when I worked in flatiron, and came here tonight for dinner. The “Trust Me” is delicious and just the right about of filling. Honestly speaking, this is one of the worst sushi restaurants I have ever dined in. I don’t find pleasure in writing negative reviews, but this just was not it. The sushi I had ordered was just atrocious. I could smell the raw fish before the server even put it on the table. It was just not pleasant, specially for the quantity and the price point. This is my go-to sushi spot! The fish is so fresh. The presentation is perfect. It’s very reasonably priced. You can’t go wrong here. I always order the don’t think just eat, that way you get a great assortment of fish to try and leave full! They do not take reservations so beat time to go is around 5:30 or else you put your name down and grab a drink close by and they call you when the table is ready
Delicious high quality sushi, the real deal and not Americanized sushi, which don’t get me wrong is great for a different vibe (If you want lots of sauce and creative rolls). But sugar fish is just simplicity done at its best, authentic with great service. Tables could be a little more spaced out, but this is NYC.

They don’t respect the waiting list. We waited for 1 hour and a half when they said it was gonna be 30 minuted and we didn’t even get the table. They passed before us a group of 7 that clearly arrived after us. Wouldn’t recommend
I don’t like sushi. Went here. Got the Trust Me. Didn’t like it. (The edamame was the best part). Anyway, it was probably Good Sushi but not for me
This place is comically over rated. Its fine. There are literally dozens of better places in manhattan at the same price point.
Nice quality sushi with relatively affordable price, but inside is always bit crowded.
