I gave her a $20 bill and expected my change to be $3.80. However, with a straight face and a tip jar filled with change and singles, she told me they only had 3.10 in the register. There was no apology, no offer to make it right, and no suggestion of just taking $4 instead. I even had to propose using the tip jar's change or getting a couple of extra plantains, but she simply said no! In the end, I ended up being shorted 5 cents. There was no effort to accommodate my request or even offer an apology. The service was disappointing, which is why I avoid certain places. I've already found a better chicken spot—it's not hard to do in this city. Food: 3, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 2.

I dined at this restaurant for the first time over the weekend and had a wonderful experience. The chicken and goat combo was absolutely delicious, and the portion size was quite generous. The woman at the counter on Saturday was extremely polite and respectful, which I genuinely appreciated. She had a cheerful demeanor that added to the experience. Furthermore, the wait time for the food was quite reasonable.

When I lived nearby, Sunshine became my go-to Jamaican destination... I sampled enjoyed everything they cooked! Now that I'm miles away, I stop in infrequently... and tend to order the large jerk chicken. It's delicious... 5 star delicious. The best part is....after having my fill as soon as the food is delivered, I then have wonderful jerk chicken to enjoy at home.

The food was a thousand times better the last time we dined here. It seems like the chef today must have been in a bad mood. Additionally, they offer homemade sorrel on the menu, but served us a bottled version that wasn't made in-house. No thanks. We won't be returning.
