We said we'd like to bring our individual families here to experience it too. We all had the Italian beef sandwiches. Our Dad had his dipped and we had au jus on the side. Dad had fries and we had the onion rings. Those were the best onion rings but I wish they gave you a few more especially with the upcharge. The fries were fresh and hot as well. When you want a Chicago dog without the hassle of going to Chicago. This is the real deal. Vienna beef. Poppyseed bun. Pickle, hot peppers, tomatoes, and celery salt. When I want the real deal…. One thing to note. These guys steam the bun. I always ask for a non steamed bun. I can’t stand soggy bread.
Skips Chicago Dogs was excellent for lunch. It was true to Chicago roots. The hot dogs and Italian beef tasted like I never left Chicago. The fries were also a great add on to the meal. The owner was super friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back when in Atlanta.
This place is located in a great area. Food was fantastic. Service was okay, it's a busy place. The employees were possibly exhausted by the time we got there. You can get great Chicago dogs and there's a very nice park across the street.

I don't frequent Decatur often, but when I get the chance I always enjoy coming to Skips. Friendly staff and great hot dogs. Onion rings were also an A+. Definitely give the hot tamale a try too.
Always been impressed at the service. The food is good and the price is right. As long as the quality for the value stays the same, I keep coming back.
Great Chicago style lunch food. Italian beef with giardiniera can't be beat. Better get it wet, or why even bother? Can't wait to try the Polish!
Italian beef sandwiches are extremely small and have very little meat. They should change the name to Chgo fraud!!
