Swamp Fox Restaurant Bar

The Swamp Fox is located inside the lovely Francis Marion Hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess and seated right away. The restaurant’s decor is tasteful, and a piano player entertained us during our meal. Our waiter, Eric, was remarkably attentive. In addition to the She Crab Soup, I ordered the Short Ribs with Ricotta Gnocchi, while my husband had the Shrimp Grits. Everything was incredible! The gnocchi was the best I’ve ever had, and the soup was outstanding—it has quickly become our new favorite. The food wasn't bad. Service was a little slow. I ate here only out of convenience since I was staying at the same hotel it's located in. If you're under 35-40 years old and want a fun atmosphere to have your dinner in, this restaurant is not for you. The vibe of this restaurant and decor gave me retirement home vibes.

This is a fantastic restaurant with genuine Southern cuisine. The she crab soup was incredible, boasting a creamy, smooth base and generous chunks of crab. The fried green tomatoes were crispy and delicious, and the halibut was outstanding. They also served the best shrimp and grits we've had in town!

We had a fantastic dinner! I absolutely loved the pianist, the decor, and the incredibly delicious food! Our drinks were excellent, but unfortunately, our server struggled to keep our water glasses filled. That was the only downside to an otherwise amazing dining experience! Reserva una mesa ahora

The Bibb salad, fried chicken and butter cake were delicious. The gravy, collard greens and she crab soup weren't to my taste. Our waiter went beyond and above to help us get what we wanted.

Server was excellent. The food wasn't the best. The asparagus was overdone and the carrot cake and red velvet cake were dried out. The butter cake was outstanding as was the wedge salad
