My husband and I live right off Osborne, so we're often overwhelmed with options when it comes to ordering sushi for dinner (considering the plethora of restaurants on Osborne, Corydon and Pembina .Even so, Ta.Ke has quickly become our go to takeout spot. The restaurant may appear visually plain, but they will surprise and delight you with their scrumptious menu.They have by far the tastiest (and largest! sushi pizzas in the city. Their lunch specials are also reasonable priced and hefty enough to fill you up. We highly recommend this location to all sushi pizza fans!
This has become our standard for ordering sushi in the Pembina/Jubilee area. Their orders usually take a little longer than the other sushi restaurants in the area, but it's worth the wait. Super super friendly staff, an no matter what day of the week we order (closed Mondays), it's fresh and tasty. Situated right by the liquor store (highly recommend a bottle of Apothic Red - California $15) so it's a great way to get the right ingredients for a great dinner!
Consistently amazing food. It's more of a takeout place. I moved to a different part of the city but we still regularly make the trip. The rice is perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fish is always fresh and top notch. There is always lots of fish in the rolls. Well presented food and very friendly staff. I have tried a lot of sushi joints in winnipeg and this one is by far the best. The rolls are also very reasonably priced. Try the salmon skin roll.
Ta.ke Sushi is one of the best, if not the best, sushi place in the city. It has been my family's favourite for so many years.Simply, because their food quality has always been consistent --- always fresh and well-prepared! Plus, it's reasonably priced, along with a warm and friendly staff to boot.We highly recommend this place if you're looking for fresh, authentic, delicious sushi! Affordability is just icing on the sushi platter!

TA.KE has been my go to sushi place for years. The staff is great. The food is fresh. The soy sauce is No, 1. As a Vancouver sushi lover living in Winnipeg, I have found the service and the food consistant over many years. Too bad the city made them take the chairs and tables out. It made for a convenient quick stop. They even have a points card for discounts. Thanks TA.KE for serving my sushi cravings for all these years!
Mostly just for take out sushi, with just 4 seats in a bar-like high table along the window. Better than sushi train, which seems to be the next nearest sushi place. Wouldn't suggest driving out of your way to go here, but if it's close and sushi's what you're craving, it'll do the trick, and at a very low price, too.
My office is nearby and when time permits, I will get the lunch special from here and take it to the office. The food is prepared in front of your eyes, there is a comfortable area to sit and read a paper if you want, and there are tables to dine in. The sushi is always fresh and always tastes great!
My husband and I ordered take out He got California rolls (he said he liked his)and I got yam tempura rolls. Yam was undercooked, tempura was soggy. The rice was too plain (no taste). Wouldn't order again.

My go-to sushi place in Winnipeg. The platter assortment is great. Staff are friendly and helpful if you’re unsure what to order or how much you need for a group of people.
The salmon is delicious! Try the sushi pizza, yam tempura roll and the shrimp killer. Friendly staff. Tiny eating area so it is more convenient for take-out.
