Having driven by numerous times, today was the day to check it out to buy sides for our annual dose of Shakespeare in West Hartford which starts with a picnic. We could not have been less impressed with the lifeless staff... No one greeted us when we arrived. We passed at least 6 employees with nary a glance our way. We arrived at the pre-made salad case at the back, and we stood for minutes before any of the employees within 10 feet of us asked if they could assist. Someone needs to give this team a shot of warmth and enthusiasm if this business is to grow rather than being utilized by locals based on convenience. Great sandwich shop if in the amount Holyoke area. Lots of typical stand-by options (ham and cheese and some things with a twist! I had The Orchard--Granny Smith apples, Brie cheese, spicy brown mustard served on a roll. Absolutely fabulous! Tones of cheese and apple! I also had the clam chowder soup (it is Massachusetts! . This wasn't anything special, but was still good. Everything was buy separate--with a huge array of drink choices--maybe too many. But I think the place also serves as a quick stop Market in the area too. Big lunch crowd, and too chilly to go outside. Tables could have had a wipe down, and the floor was starting to look a bit unkept. But again, it was pretty busy!

Tailgate is one of my fiancé’s favorite places in his hometown. I tried the slim chicken sandwich, adding cucumber and onion, and it was really good! Nothing extravagant, but if you're looking for a dependable sandwich or wrap, this hits the spot. My fiancé always orders the chicken tender sandwich, and it's his all-time favorite. The quality isn’t exceptional, but when you just want a solid sandwich, Tailgate delivers. They also have a wide variety of drinks, chips, and baked goods, which is a nice bonus.

Who doesn't enjoy a sandwich from Tailgate? This morning, I walked in and placed an order for three sandwiches for lunch at my in-laws. Even though it was busy, my order was ready quickly. I decided to try the sun-dried tomato sandwich for the first time (I usually get the Harvest) and I was really impressed. The mozzarella was the best I've had in ages. The prices are definitely reasonable for the quality; $8.00 for a large sandwich and a deli pickle is a great deal, and the staff is always so friendly. Reserva una mesa ahora

I decided to give Tailgate another try, but unfortunately, it was just as disappointing as before. The new owners really need to assess their staff and the quality of the food. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich that only had a single slice of tomato on it, and another sandwich that was supposed to come with lettuce and tomato, but they forgot both completely. I won’t be giving them another chance and will definitely advise my friends and family to avoid it as well.

Went for the first time this weekend and unfortunately did not feel welcome..each staff member seemed like we were inconveniencing them by being there and ordering. I’ve worked in a kitchen for over ten years of my life and understand the stress and need for prep time but the woman working the sandwich area could not have seemed any more put off by having to take our order..food was just ok.

We enjoyed a nice picnic of sandwiches (the Notch) and elbow macaroni salad at this very comfortable place just off and down from the South Hadley common. The bearclaw for desert was especially high quality. Reserva una mesa ahora

Owners changed and it couldn't be worse of a place. I used to go all the time but the whole experience changed. I walk in and get blank stares, no greeting, and a 20 minute wait every single time.
