Went here for drinks and dinner for a mates stag party. We went during the Champions League Final. Venue is very large with plenty of sitting and standing room. Venue is also located on the river which provides a great view if you are sitting outside (and the weather is nice). Good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is that when you order from their app it is not very clear on how to take advantage of their specials. They have a 2 for 1 cocktail special (where you order and pay for 1 and you get another one of the same cocktail free). What they don't say on the app is that you physically have to order two on the app. I did not know...
I had a delightful experience with the warm and friendly service at this restaurant. The bottomless brunch offered fantastic value at £28 per person (June 2023), and I enjoyed a meal called The Big Breakfast (as shown in the picture). On a lovely summer day, you can also choose to dine outside on the spacious balcony, which overlooks the River Ouse and offers a nice view of the boats passing by. The atmosphere is lively, catering to a crowd in their 20s and 30s, complete with playful banter and upbeat music. I can’t wait to return!
This place is always packed whenever we visit York. The drink selection is fantastic, the food is amazing, and there's so much to commend. You can order at the bar or conveniently through their user-friendly app. Inside, there's plenty of space with various seating options, from standing areas to tables for two, plus a large outdoor balcony overlooking the river. The staff is always friendly and polite. I have nothing but praise for this restaurant!
I can’t comment on the food since I didn’t try any. I had a pint of Meantime tank beer, but anyone expecting it to taste like Pilsner Urquell might be let down. It felt overpriced and wasn't significantly different from regular lager. The barmaid was friendly, and the pub itself is a decent, spacious spot in the Wetherspoons style, but overall it was just okay. It does have a nice view of Micklegate Bridge and the Kings Head pub across the street.

We visited Tank Paddle in York on our way back from the stunning Lake District. The pub/restaurant was incredibly beautiful and vibrant. The food was not only delicious but also served in generous portions, making it worth the money. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and polite. We enjoyed a fantastic view of the lovely River Ouse. I highly recommend Tank Paddle in York if you're looking to enjoy tasty pub food with great care. Thank you!
You really need to clone Holly. She was fantastic , looked after us brilliantly and made our visit really special. Jodie and, in fact all the staff who waited on the table made sure that we had everything we needed. The food was excellent. We had the Soul Bowl and the Raspberry cheezecake....all gluten free options and all delicious. Would definitely recommend for the ambience, location, food and definitely the brilliant staff.
Love this place, always go when visiting York. Had an amazing bottomless brunch on Saturday. Starting with a delicious Full English breakfast, cooked to perfection which nicely set me up for the day. Then worked my way through the cocktails and prosecco, lush! Super efficient, friendly staff totally on the ball and never letting your drinks run dry. Honestly couldn't fault and will certainly be back.
This was our first visit, and we had a fantastic time. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was the best it could be, so we can't praise them enough. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and we have no complaints about our visit at all.

beautifully found, had a great breakfast this Sunday filled me for most of the day, good quality sausage as well. also enjoy the view of the balcony and the beautiful interior decor. eating came quite fast, the whole fab place.
