When my order finally arrived, the 5 taquito plate was supposed to include a grilled jalapeño, but it was missing. She refused to provide it, saying, “They have changed the menu from what’s online.” Would it have really been a problem to just give me the jalapeño or let me pay for it? Also, the steak fajita meat looked like ground beef. When I pointed this out, she insisted everything was fine, and I was also charged extra to mix my 5 taquito plate with 3 steak fajita and 2 shrimp. This has NEVER happened to me at the Hwy 6 location, where I've always received friendly service without issues. I should have asked to speak to the manager, but I wonder if they will even acknowledge this review...
Taqueria Arandas is a well-known establishment in Houston, with locations all over the city. However, this will be my first and last visit to this particular location for breakfast. The place is a small taco shop with Spanish rap music playing in the background, old posters on the walls, and all the characteristics you'd expect from an unassuming spot. The tortillas were a big disappointment—every good Mexican restaurant should have decent tortillas, but here they tasted stale and rubbery. The tacos were only lightly filled, and the overall flavor just didn’t hit the mark. While the food isn’t terrible, it definitely doesn’t warrant a return visit.
There are 2 locations by my house and there is no difference in the food, taste wise, at all. The breakfast tacos are so full of flavor. When I went to 1 of them about 4 months ago, I dined inside and I ordered 2 tacos. The waiter told me they are kind of huge so I changed it to 1. And yes it was huge. I went last week and order 2 through drive thru and they were half the size. I wonder what happened. Still a great place.
Love it, my family and I visited a new location off 529 and barker cypress and it was really nice. Food was great and price was reasonable.

Great lunch!!! Portions are large. Seems to me it's closer to being real Mexican than most. Reasonable pricing.

Delicious and affordable. Their Agua de Horchata is really good.
