Recently came back here after living out of state for over 10 years and this place is still as amazing as ever! Lines can be long at prime times but the wait is worth it. Big portions and affordable prices, you can't go wrong. I ordered half a sub and only managed to eat half of it in one sitting. My favorites are the #5 (super sub that has it all) and the #11 (meatball sub). Everything is fresh and tastee and you won't regret it! If you love some spice in your life, don't forget to add hot peppers- you will not be disappointed! Also, the potato salad is amazing- not too creamy and just tastes super fresh as it has big chunks of potato. Oh Tastees how I've missed you....
I placed a takeout order today, July 28, 2022, at 1:39 PM. I have to say, the team working today was absolutely incredible at making subs! It took me back to 1991 when I first moved to Edison. Over the years, I have to admit that Tastee Subs had declined a bit, but today was a wonderful surprise. If only I could find out when this crew is working or if they could teach the others their techniques, I’m certain they could bring back that nostalgic 1990s vibe. I initially chose this place for its proximity, but today, Tastee, you really knocked it out of the park! Thank you for providing my family and me with that classic, outstanding sub experience.
This is one of the best sub shops in the area, if not the best. The prices at Jersey Mike’s for subs are incredibly reasonable and affordable. The only drawbacks are the parking situation and the location, which can make it tricky to access during rush hour. However, the subs are definitely worth it. I usually go for the #3 and sometimes splurge on the fully loaded #5. There's also a 5% discount for cash payments. As I write this, there’s no fine currently in place. Before COVID, the shop had 4-5 small tables inside. Whenever I’m in the mood for a sub, I always make a point to visit this place!
The restaurant is good, but I believe it may be overhyped. I lived nearby over ten years ago and used to get their subs occasionally. I thought they were decent, but there are definitely better quality subs available elsewhere if you're willing to look. I recently returned to see if anything had changed, and my opinion remains the same: the subs are solid, but still overestimated. This place has always been fairly well-known, even before Obama's visit.

they're fine. I heard customers in the line about the fact that taste in 20 years has not changed enthusiastically talking. they have fewer options (bread, seasoned, roasted, etc). as most under-run today. I think they're using boars head like everyone else. I don't know what the hype is about. I prefer subs in south plainfield.
Since Obama's visit in 2010, this shop has become a historical landmark. In addition to that, it probably offers some of the best sandwiches in the area. They also cater and accept large orders in advance. Everything is extremely fresh, as they slice the cheese and meat to order. You really can’t ask for more than that!
I’m from Florida and my daughter stopped here for a no. 6 sub and it was out of this world in freshness, taste and worth every penny paid. Great little hidden gem, locals want to keep it quiet. Great job to owner and staff.
Nice thick subs today. Doesn't happen every time but I lucked out today. Prices went up but if the sandwich stays like today it's worth the price. Oh line was long but fast service. Enjoy!

I had the #5 super sub, and it was an absolutely fantastic sandwich! It’s a great value at $13 for such a huge portion. I highly recommend it!
Super delicious, very fast service. Best sub place in Edison if I don't know where to go for food I go there.
