When we arrived, the staff was neither attentive nor welcoming; it seemed to be all young employees who lacked proper hospitality skills. We were seated in the lower dining area and waited about 10 minutes without any acknowledgment, despite the place not being busy. Once we received our menus, we were shocked to see that all our favorite dishes had been removed, and we were disappointed to find that we weren't fans of BBQ. Previously, we enjoyed the French Onion Soup, Thai Mussels, Pear Vanilla Vinaigrette salad, and Jambalaya, all of which were the most flavorful items on the menu. After realizing there was nothing for us to order, we decided to leave our table and search for another dinn...
I want to start by saying that we've visited this restaurant many times and generally enjoyed our experiences. However, this recent visit may overshadow all the previous ones. We were a party of four plus a child, some of whom had never been before. After being seated at 7 PM, we waited 20 minutes for our drinks. We ordered both our appetizers and main courses at the same time, but the appetizers didn't arrive until another 30 minutes had passed. Our main courses finally came out 1.5 hours after we were seated, and they were only warm at best. The service has greatly improved since my last few visits. It’s clear that the number of waitstaff has significantly increased. The deck was fully occupied, and I noticed four servers handling the tables, which was more than sufficient. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. Food and drinks were served promptly and at the perfect temperature. The burger remains the best in the area, and the BBQ is consistently fantastic. The drink specials for August that we tried were exceptional and unique. If you've avoided this place due to previous slow service or negative reviews, now is the time to come back!
Really nice spot during the spring, fall, and winter after freshly fallen snow. The view over the valley is quite nice. The restaurant has become a smoke house and they do a good job. This place is amazing, and the food is delicious! My wife and I were served our drinks just a minute after we arrived. We ordered the pulled pork and brisket, both of which had excellent flavor. The sauces were fantastic as well. I can't wait to sample more items from the menu!
