Visit: July 2024 The food was excellent. The sandwich was huge, pressed perfectly, and had really gooey cheese. Overall extremely balanced and delicious sandwich for the price. The staff was very friendly as well and recommended the strudel to me. The strudel was light and very flakey with a creme filling which was good, but a bit too sweet for me. Came in on a thursday morning and got lucky with parking as well as being there at a non-peak time. Lots of seating and space inside but kinda cramped up together. There are also a lot of freshly baked goods and sweets to choose from. I love that they have a menu list for sandwiches and soups which made ordering easy. I had their ham and cheese panini and it was so delicious despite being so simple. Their soup of the day is not to be overlooked! During our visit they had chickpea and veggie which was so hearty and satisfying! Thats what fresh homemade food tastes like! I gave 4 stars because I only tried the espresso coffee, but I thought the price was excellent compared to other places, the coffee was very good and the service was very friendly, due to lack of time I couldn't try anything else but everything looked very delicious, next time Once I go to Newark I will try to go and try more!

So far I have tried only pastries from a bakery and they didn't disappoint, quite opposite. They have the best pastel de nata!! It is flaky and delicate with balanced sweetness. A circle pastry with walnuts has a lot of walnuts and not very sweet too. The ladies who is working here is nice and attentive. Thank you. Reserva una mesa ahora

Someone recommended their pastel de nata and it did not disappoint. Very cute, best one we’ve had in the states. The custard is very delicate and soft and not too sweet, the crust is very flakey. Will be back to try other pastries and things :

No longer using Portuguese butter!!! Upload to open at 5am but they are closed I call and they tell me 6am when it’s always been 5am. Smh

Whenever I need bread or a coffee and relax a little I go to this place. Very good indeed!
