We came down from Sydney for the Canberra Running Festival and on a Saturday night were looking for a Thai restaurant to help calm the nerves and "carbo" load. Walking down Giles Street, we came across this place and it was getting busy - even though it was only 6pm (a good sign if you ask me). I am pleased that we went in as the food was terrific. So what was special? A wonderful balance of meat and fresh vegetables across all dishes and an option to spice up or down each dish. And as well, service was great and very Thai and the price was c$20 per main. What more could one want in a Thai restaurant on a suburban strip?
I would really have liked to have more to judge it on, but I was on my own, so ordered the chicken larb as I was craving a chili /fish sauce/fresh herb hit. They were very nice and let me have plain rice instead of the sticky rice but I did find it a bit bland in comparison to most larbs I've tried. So I ordered some fresh chili and fish sauce and that jazzed it up nicely, I ate the lot!I do have some more exploring to do around the menu and could see myself returning for that.
Decided to go here for lunch with friends even the last time we were disappointed. Tried new dishes for entrees Peking duck pancakes and Coconut battered prawns, both very good and the prawns large and sweet. For mains we ordered stir fry beef with chili and basil and king prawn spicy Thai salad, both excellent. Would recommend ad will definitely return. Only complaint - restaurant was busy this Thursday and only one person doing the lot.. i.e. waiting, drinks, menus and bills.
Finally scored a table when the only waitress on duty noticed were waiting. Had eaten here before so we had an understanding of the menu. Laksa was okay after we clarified it was for one. Chilli prawns with fried noodles was different to what was expected but still very nice. Surprised to see waitress give the very nice Gallaghers Shiraz a couple of shakes before pouring our glasses. Gotta keep the flavour mixed up!

It was rather empty when we went in. We were the only ones there. We ordered a "Beef Salad", "Chicken Hokkian" and "Stuffed eggplant". The waitress thought I was nuts for not ordering rice with the eggplant because it was strong. The eggplant was stuffed with fried patties of chicken and crab and drenched in black bean sauce. I hadn't expected the meat to be deep fried. But it was yummy. Would I go back? Absolutely.
Staying nearby we grabbed Thai from here. The King Prawn Salad packed a beautiful punch, and the Basil Duck stir fry was cooked to perfection. Easy, fast service. This is obviously a hot spot for locals, as plenty of people were ducking in to grab take away. Definitely recommend.
We dined here on our last night in Canberra and it was wonderful.The food was delicious, just like being back in Thailand.They even made a simple dish of steamed chicken and rice for our 2 year old.Very friendly.Will be going back if we are even in Canberra again.
Date night for a quick and casual meal. Great service, location and setting comfortable. Interesting take on Thai, westernised in terms of flavour, not my favourite Thai in Canberra but a pretty broad menu.

A large group was well catered for, food was great style, variety and value , staff were very obliging. Quantities were a little light but taste was superb.
Staying down near Canberra with family & had dinner here was very impressed great service, atmosphere & food . I totally recommend stopping here.
