We decided to head to lygon street to eat at a different Thai restaurant ( will remain nameless) but due to it being closed for the Xmas/new year period we opted to eat at Thai on street.There was 6 of us and they were very accommodating seeing we just walked in.We finally decided to order, we all got appetisers.My girlfriend and I ordered satay chicken, I must say it was very very delicious.The deliciousness of the Satay Chicken couldn't help them though. The wait for the mains was 45 mins.I got Chicken Pad See Ew and my girlfriend ordered the special soft shell crab Pad Thai. After the wait I was hoping the food would be good. Five of us ventured in on a cool and breezy Saturday night without a booking, and were offered a table outside on the footpath to commence ordering etc. while a table became available, which it did within about 20 minutes. They were very busy, usually a great sign!We ordered starters and mains, but sadly neither my squid starter, or my pad Thai noodles did it for me, particularly the noodle which had very little flavour. Everyone else seemed content enough, but my lady was disappointed with her mussaman curry.Maybe a bad night in the kitchen?
I'm here to pick up my order. I noticed something strange. the sign says no entry for the supplied grater. I understand that there is not much space for eating. a driver waited for the command when he tried to go inside to inform the lady was very rude and respectful. they are at least friendly to the delivery makers and remember that everything is connected. it's copied, but the same thing happened to me)
Been here to pick up my order. I’ve noticed something bizarre. The sign says no entry for the delivery drivers. I understand there isn't much space inside for dining. A driver was waiting for the order when he tried to go inside to inform, the lady was very rude and disrespectful. At least be kind to the delivery drivers. And remember everything is interconnected.

The place is small so make a reservation. Food was great, everything was amazing. Beef Massaman Curry was nice however the beef wasn't slow cooked cubes like you would find in Thailand or other Thai restaurant here they were small flat thin slices of beef. Very disappointing because that's usually my favourite dish, however flavours were perfect.
We normally go to the infamous Thaila Thai, just down the road; as it was closed we popped into Thai on Street, just a few shops away. It had a nice vibe, cosy feel and the food was tasty and authentic. We even got spicy Thai style. Portions could have been a little bigger. Highly recommended!
Food and Ambiance are perfect for any occasion . Good selection of dishes, Staff are so friendly. This place is one of my regular Brunswick pit stop for food. Try to get a table near Glass where you can enjoy food with passing traffic .
Service was slow and food was generally good but nothing exiting or outstanding. Wait stuff weren't overly attentive and food came out at different times at the table Good if you don't have any option or ideas

Lygon Street offers many eateries. Thai on Street is one which I can recommend. The food is great, the prices are moderate and the service is very friendly. I hope to eat here again when I next visit.
