I visited Pub Wyncote, which I believe is the new name for the pub at the golf course. While driving through the area, we decided to stop for lunch. The menu was small but featured some intriguing options. My wife enjoyed her Guinness chili, and I really liked my Kennett Square mushroom soup. Unfortunately, the crackers were disappointingly stale; I couldn't help but wonder how long they had been sitting there. If you haven't visited the new restaurant at Wyncote Golf Club yet, hurry over—you're truly missing out! We've been numerous times, and each visit leaves us happy and satisfied. Their handcrafted cocktails are outstanding; I'm especially fond of the espresso martini. As for the food, every dish we've tried has been a delight. I had the shepherd's pie, and it outshone the one from our local English pub! Plus, it’s made with lamb, just as it should be. We can't wait to return! Great job, Wyncote!
This was the 1st time we went here it was Amazing !! Hadn 't been in a while due to poor service, uninteresting menu and because we prefer to go to restaurants offering craft cocktails. Well we re visited this summer and were very pleased to find better service (still could use some improvements they had a staff meeting right at lunchtime! . Menu has been updated, though there didn 't seem to be any specials. Best of all, they now offer some interesting and tasty craft cocktails!

I had a fantastic experience at the Ball and Thistle Pub recently. The food was outstanding; I ordered the Windy Cottage Pie and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were quick and attentive. It seems that the management has changed and significantly improved the restaurant since our last visit years ago. I highly recommend checking it out!
I'm writing this after having dinner at the pub, and I felt heartburn set in right away, which soon led to vomiting. I suspect I may have food poisoning; I had the shepherd's pie and a glass of red wine. I'm puzzled as to how this could happen, especially since I used to enjoy this restaurant in the summer. It's disappointing.
I've visited this restaurant twice recently, and both times I ended up feeling ill the next day. The guests I brought with me experienced stomach issues after their meals as well. It's a shame because the location is perfect for a nice dining experience. I haven't returned since.
Always a pleasure. Yes it's a golf course and yes its a wee bit posh but the staff are wonderful and don't care that I'm a rough and tough biker.Come as you are. Stay for a pint.

I ordered the chicken Alfredo, but it was a bit disappointing. The chicken was dry, the Alfredo sauce was separated, and many of the pasta noodles had dry patches.
