In Bury St. Edmunds, a beerhouse I know, But there's something amiss, and I must let it show. They charge a grand sum, a whopping thirteen, For a glass of wine, not fit for a queen! Oh dear, oh my, it's simply absurd, Mediocre wine, and the price is absurd! In London, maybe, such prices could be, But here in this town, it just doesn't agree. So I must take a stand, yes, a boycott I decree, Until they learn fair prices, and set the wine free. No more shall I visit, until things have been mended, And the beerhouse in Bury St. Edmunds, comprehended!
We really miss the old landlord Chris and his amazing staff, esp Amie. They were a really cool team. but it 's still a real treat to find a 'pub ' uncorrupted by tables reserved for meals, noisy gambling machines and TV screens. This is a great place to catch up with friends. I especially enjoy the fire in the winter. Snce the pizza place opened in the back yard for when that unexpected hunger kicks in, I find it difficult to leave!
I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant, as it is conveniently located by the station. However, during my recent visit, I was required to download their app in order to place an order. Sadly, my phone was unable to do so. While this is a common practice nowadays, the staff did not offer any other options for ordering. I found this experience to be frustrating and time-consuming. Life is too short for such inconveniences.
Disappointed at the raise of the cost of the wine , I realise that it is a beer house and the cost of beer has remained the same but the huge price increase in wine I consider is short sighted as so many of us that accompany our beer drinkers will not be accommodating them for much longer . Such a shame as it’s been my regular for so long but I cannot justify paying the price !! Sadly goodbye Beer house

Ruby greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home at the Beerhouse. Our drinks were served promptly and the atmosphere was lively! The staff handled Covid regulations efficiently and maintained high hygiene standards. We would highly recommend this restaurant to both local and foreign visitors. Be sure to ask for Ruby when you visit!
Came in a few days ago for a couple quick drinks ended up staying for more than a couple. Staff very friendly and attentive especially Dylan! He was really helpful guiding us through the beers and was really kind to our toddler! Will be back again very soon for sure.
Just called for a couple of pints. Really nice atmosphere and huge range of different beers. Personally I am not bothered about the more esoteric ones but found a really nice “simple” one. If you like to try different ones or have the taster flight then you can.
The Beerhouse had an interesting assortment of ciders and ales and an inviting atmosphere. The staff was super friendly even when their cash machine went down. Will be returning for beer and pizza and won’t fault the technical malfunction.

The variety of beer from their own brewery was excellent. I tried the porter and their best ales, which were both delicious. I didn't try much of the food, but I can say that I had no complaints about the pork scratchings.
