Chose this pub as it is dog friendly, we usually call frequently in the Summer as the pub has a nice beer garden and the food is OK. Big mistake it is the most unfriendly pub I have ever visited. I phoned to see which were the dog friendly part of the pub to be told the bar area and the snug. The same day on arrival was told the snug was closed due to renovations !! We were going to eat but ate at the March Hare Cheadle which was genuinely dog friendly, when we realised we had to sit on a stool with separate tables to eat on. The Duty Manager who was really rough round the edges) was so rude in the middle of the pub shouted across the room to keep our dog on the lead. My husband had arrived...

Visited this local pub for some authentic British pub grub. Hugely disappointed with the menu and thereafter the availability of items in the dishes. Tremendously over priced just due to its location in this leafy high end Cheshire suburb. For a Sunday early evening meal, I ordered the vegetarian roast, chicken for the wife and Macaroni cheese for my son. Once the order was taken we were told by the staff after 5 minutes no parsnips so will be replaced by Yorkshire pudding and no Mac n cheese. Was asked to choose something else. Once the food came, the gravy was tepid and chicken dry. Cabbage was soggy and roast potatoes under cooked. Due to this skipped the dessert as didn’t want to get fur...

We booked to stay at this hotel for a family occasion across 2 nights, booking 6 rooms per night. Prior to coming we checked with the hotel who confirmed the bookings. Upon arrival they had unilaterally cancelled some of the rooms meaning that we could not stay the 2nd night and had to vacate our room on the morning of the first day, meaning we had nowhere to go and relax the whole day as a result they succeeded in ruining our family reunion and our weekend Shambolic ! Never again would I stay in a place where they do not honour bookings.....

Unfortunately, we were disappointed by our experience at this pub. Although the decor was beautiful and the atmosphere cozy, the food we received was lacking. The plate of food was lukewarm, the roast potatoes were not crispy, the vegetables were undercooked, and the beef was tasteless. The only highlight was the Yorkshire pudding. Given the price and quality of the food, we will not be returning. It's a shame because the pub has a lot of potential, especially with its beer garden in the summer. We were staying locally before an early flight from Manchester Airport and decided to go to this lovely pub rather than eat at the hotel restaurant and we were so pleased we did. The steak pie was large and really tasty. Fish and chips well cooked and Sunday roast really good value. Such a shame we don’t live locally to enjoy this welcoming pub and restaurant more often. Great service, great food.

Absolutely lovely Sunday roast! We had 3 beef and 1 pork roast and all were delicious. The pub is so cosy with a friendly atmosphere and offers tv screens for watching sport. The service is very good in particular Chris is so welcoming. Staff like him make the visit to the pub very pleasant and worth revisiting.

Went for dinner last night what has happened to this pup it used to be amazing gone right downhill food was average at best. Mine was luke warm my friends was stone cold had to go back twice to kitchen and in the end the replaced it that took 30 minutes. Won’t be paying to eat there again

Terrible experience. The service was incredibly slow and we were ignored while waiting at the bar, even though staff was busy serving other customers who arrived after us. Unfriendly staff who wouldn't even make eye contact or communicate with us. Reserva una mesa ahora

Enjoyed our stay at the bullshead, comfortable room nice and warm, we enjoyed our meal in the bar fish chips,steak pie chips very tender meat. Staff very friendly wonderful full english breakfast next morning. 10/10.

We stayed one night at the Bull's Head Lodge. The room was clean, well-equipped, warm, and comfortable. The service and breakfast at the Bull's Head were excellent.
