This was my 1st visit here,there's quite a few tables inside located in different areas but I ended going upstairs into a very nice lounge area to find a free table,also a few tables located outside to the front by the entrance for when the weather is nice .The Staff Service at the bar was Welcoming and very Pleasant when ordering our Gin Tonic drinks selected food.The table service delivery of our chosen bespoke cheese board was excellent very informative of the delightful types of cheese offerings on the board .The drinks were good the food was very tasty ,a very enjoyable visit all round.From today's experience I will definitely be back again in the future when visiting Lincoln would also...
This place is full of cheese and cold meat boards. A great selection of Spanish and Italian cheeses and cold cuts, but beware, apart from the boards, they don't serve anything else to eat. Plus a great atmosphere and a good selection of wines. They also serve lagers and always have some chanterelles with ale.
I would love to say what a great bar, but after I was told too much larger and the door man rubbed belly, I can only give it 1 star . I did think the doormen were mot aloud to touch you, and whether I had a drink or not, I have a belly it is an insult for him to say too much larger and touch me
Top place! One of the oldest pubs in the city. Located at the top end of the pedestrian precinct on Lincoln's High Street. Excellent well looked after beers. Friendly and welcoming staff. If its busy check out the upstairs lounge for more seating.

Old pub with modern beer from a variety of craft breweries, a great combination. A clear chalkboard menu next the bar clearly displaying the current cask and keg options. Food options sounded nice for sharing but I didn't try any on this visit.
I love popping into The Cardinals Hat whenever I have an overseas visitor! Their gin collection is impressive (not quite as large as mine) as is their choice of draught beers! Bust best of all is their sharing platter well worth it!
Never disappointed. Great selection of beers and some excellent seating options, when it's not too busy. Always stop for one here when in Lincoln.
Popped in for a coffee and apple juice. Staff friendly and good coffee. Only stayed for the one drink. Nice old World decor a proper pub.

Nice pub/bar.Quick one pint visit. Good choice of real ale. Quirky interior with several seating areas. Nice pint of Cardinals Ale.
