Unfortunately, two drinks were spilled over customers by the waiting staff while we were there, with one of the spills being a glass of red wine on me, potentially staining my brand new clothes irreversibly. This is a charming pub with excellent food and staff who are welcoming, friendly and intelligent. I 'm conscious that 'intelligent ' is an odd word to use in a review like this but I got the sense when conversing with the staff, particularly our waitress, that they actually listen when you talk to them and any response, whether to a request or general chatter, is considered and smart. Fantastic friendly pub brilliant staff and food extremely tasty. The steak and fish were very good quality savoured every mouthful. Portions were perfect and all served within a very reasonable time. Wanted to keep the camembert wheel a secret because it was so good I could have eaten that alone with a bottle of red.

Had an excellent lunch at this restaurant - the portions were generous and piping hot. The 12oz steak was particularly delicious, as was the mixed grill and ribeye. The service was very friendly and I will definitely be returning.
