The Chef And The Baker

We discovered this gem when visiting the business across the street. They definitely lived up to their name. Upon entering, the glass case revealed a great variety of cupcakes. We tried 4 flavors and all were delicious. For lunch, we had a turkey sandwich and lasagna. Our friend commented it was the best lasagna he ever had. Please note that the business has daily specials and lasagna is not served every day. The turkey sandwich was also fantastic. We'll be back!

Worst place to get a meal catered in Peoria. $75 for plastic silvereware, $150 for a fuit plate full of melon. $3.75 per cupcake but if you buy 30 of them $120 for display which is a plastic tray. I order catering for my job often and have ordered from almost everywhere in Peoria and a Chef and a Baker is by FAR the worst company that I have worked with. DO NOT recommend

THE BEST potato salad I’ve ever had!!! Amazing butternut squash soup . Perfectly balanced salad. Friendly welcoming service. A hidden gem in the heart of Peoria. The cupcakes will make your knees bend.

The chef and the baker have some of the best sandwiches in town! This family owned business is a Peoria, IL staple! The cupcakes and homemade chips are also fire!
