The Concourse Catch

This fish and chip shop in Melbourne has the best dimsims! It is one of my favorite places to grab a meal. I recently tried their dimmy pack ($10) and a piece of grilled salmon ($12). The dimmy pack came with 6 dimsims, chips, and a can of drink, all for a very reasonable price. They offer a variety of high value meal packs and fresh salads as well. The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of salt, and the chips were thick and delicious. The dimsims are some of the best I've had in Melbourne. Don't waste your money going here when there are two far superior competitors within a kilometre's drive. Previous proprietors did a reasonable job but the new owners have ruined the business. Pieces of fish half the size of those to be found elsewhere. So too the tiny potato cakes which had both the appearance and texture of having been fried more than once. Chips would probably have been acceptable had not the entire meal been rendered virtually inedible by the application of w-a-y too much salt. Will definitely NOT be going back.

This is my Mum’s local fish and chip shop sort of. We drive past three others to get here because this is her favorite. The grilled fish is yummy, the chips a bit crunchy, the potato cakes are good, the scallops are large and juicy and the dim sims don’t disappoint either. The staff are always friendly and helpful and have never rushed the 90 year olds in my life. They even divide one order into separate boxes so we know which fish is which. We go there at least fortnightly when we can.

I chose a grilled flake and plain hamburger. The prices were low and the serving size good, with the quality excellent. I am surprised why I would ever pay twice as much to buy a premium burger at the fancy places around the town. My fish was fresh, well cooked, and a nice size. The places that give you a lemon wedge are usually a dollar dearer. there is a park next door with picnic tables and shelters where you can eat your lunch in peace. Reserva una mesa ahora

I absolutely love the fish and chips at this restaurant! The whiting is incredibly delicious. While the price may be a bit high, the taste is worth it. The chips are thick, similar to other fish and chips places, and I can't get enough of them. The customer service is excellent and I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place!

Our local shop was closed for the night so thought we would go back to the concourse (previous local). Wow has it gone down hill, average food but terrible service and wait times. Won't be back again

Only just found this little gem after working in the area for 4 years. Great fish and chips and even let you change the fish in the pack. Price is pretty good as well! Definitely be back!
