We came down to Mentone in search of another café however, both of them were closed. We noticed this place was jam-packed so we decided to give it a try. Since there were a few of us with dogs, we asked a staff member if we could get a table outside. After talking to a staff member, we settled down and were later approached by a waitress who asked if we were part of a booking. She then shifted us to a high-raised table. The house benny and the food only filled half of the plate. My toast was burnt, and my friend's toast was chewy. Delicious place to catch some early breaky or a quick coffee to start your day or your morning fuel station. The brunch menu has something for everyone. The standard farmers breakfast is a great start if you're looking for a full meal. Upgrade to the scrambled eggs, they are worth it! Looking for something sweet? Get the homemade waffles with berries!! Tasting too good to be real. If you're looking for a healthy start that is vegan friendly? The grain salad is surprisingly delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and has plenty of seating. With such inviting staff, we make this a regular stop in our week.
We celebrated a 50th anniversary on the weekend and I cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience. The managers were so obliging and helpful and it was the easiest occasion to plan. On the day, the staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly, nothing was too much. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Our parents had a wonderful afternoon and we can’t thank you enough. Would highly recommend The Corner Store to everyone.
The service, decor, atmosphere, food and drinks were all a very pleasant surprise. Our favorites were the espresso martinis, desserts and friendly staff. The dark navy with timber decor, comfy seating and beautiful lighting made it a lovely place to be for a rare date night. Our first time visiting and we’ll definitely be back.

Consistent, friendly, tasty! Will go above and beyond to accommodate! I’m FODMAP but also have a string of other dietary restrictions, so eating out can be stressful. The team here are happy to modify, clarify and make sure every need is catered for. Great local night specials on weeknights too! Great cocktails :
Stewart was our waiter and he was so lovely and friendly. He had such a bubbly personality and was making every customer he interacted with smile and laugh. The service was quick and meals were well priced for the serving size. The food was really tasty and well presented!
This was the first place I tried when I moved to Mentone and I've been coming multiple times a week ever since. Amazing staff. Really good food and coffee. Generous food offers and happy hours. Really can't fault this place. Highly recommend!
We already loved TCS for brunch, coffee and drinks, so was a no brainer to celebrate a big birthday here. A big thank you Tim and team for a fabulous night! Perfect venue, food and service. Everyone had a great time!
