It was an old pub and had a really...great atmosphere. Our room was a family room although there was only the two of us. It was really spacious, clean well maintained. As for the location it was well placed to walk into Bury St Edmunds town centre, cathedral theatre. And with Greene King Head Brewery just down the road they need to look into how this pub is managed and the extortionate prices charged
I went with my friends for a Sunday roast , we sat down and we ordered on the app , my friends starter did not say it would come out as a starter so she kindly asked this waitress if she could make sure it...will be and she shook her head and said she’ll see what she can do , we asked for more gravy and the waiter said he would bring some but he never did . We never got a check back to ask how is our food or nothing
Whilst the Menu can be described as largely wings and Burgers, the creative twists make it very interesting. A Burger with a Beef Dripping Sauce, amazing!!! We visited on a Wednesday and although it was quiet, the atmosphere was good. The main reason I wanted...to write the review was because of Josh. This pleasant busy pub offers food, but frankly I wouldn't bother again. The very-basic menu offered such limited choice, and when we were advised at on Saturday night that they'd run out of chips', we discussed how that could possibly happen? Our...food was so disappointing, and worth about half what we were charged. No, we won't be returning...
Another lovely evening at the Dog and Partridge! These guys are always so accommodating to my dietary requirements, which makes for a stress free evening. Even though this pub is a managed house, the atmosphere is always fab. Steve and the team always welcomes you...with a smile. I will of course be back
this beautiful, historical pub in the greene king family has a surprisingly modern menu, filled with things like vegan ripening, veggie plates, nourishing dishes, a moving mountains burger and biff jackfruit wing.
We came in for a pre-Christmas drink and were impressed with the customer service, personable and interested staff, perfect pours and atmosphere. Well done for providing a great service and being a proper pub.

We have frequented this pub numerous times and each time is just as good as the last. The atmosphere, service and food are delightful! The staff is very inviting and personable. We will continue to return.
Once again, the DnP have shown us a great time. Obviously short staffed but those who were working were still smiling and never stopped getting stuff done. Always enjoy a visit here.
