I’ve been to the Drover several times and have had great experiences. This last time I went there I ordered a whiskey ribeye. Well when my steak came out it was a New York strip the waiter instead of correcting it and admitting a mistake was made. He sat there and tried to say that it was a leaner cut ribeye. First I have never seen a lean cut ribeye unless you intentionally trimmed all the fat. But anyone going to steakhouse and is ordering a ribeye obviously wants the steak with the most marbling any fat. He said he would see if there were different cuts that were more fatty. Just a ridiculous response I have never gone to reputable steak house and said I need a more fatty ribeye. JP really ruined the Drover for me. I wish I took a picture of this “leaner cut ribeye”. To management, JP needs to either be fired or learn what customer service is. If he owned up to his mistake I wouldn’t be writing this review. The fact that he sat there and insulted my knowledge of steaks is laughable and pathetic.
My son and two cousins, all from Ky, had dinner at The Drover after a recommendation from an Uber driver for the best establishment in Omaha to have a steak, and we were not disappointed. Our server was very helpful in accommodating our different choices for our meals of steaks and sides. Everyone was well pleased with their meats cooked to perfection, their delicious salads, and sides. The perfect atmosphere was topped with the exquisite desert tastes and presentation. Thank ya'll for excellent dining experience.
