We hosted an event at this venue and were very disappointed. The food was bland and lacked flavor, especially considering the high prices. Additionally, food items were not replenished in a timely manner. The carving station was often left unattended throughout the afternoon. The seating was flimsy, and several guests fell during the event, yet management did not take appropriate action to address the safety concerns. Came for dinner with my wife two other couples. Service was friendly and great, and the food was amazing. We started with some apps and their seafood tower for 6, fresh and delicious. My wife and I split the 42 oz porterhouse and it was fantastic. Cooked perfectly and basically melted in your mouth. There was a great band playing at the bar, and we headed that way after dinner to enjoy some more cocktails with the music. You can't beat the atmosphere, we all felt like we were in an old-time speakeasy lounge. Will definitely be back.

I've driven past this place a million times never noticed it! My husband I wanted to try someplace new not drive too far away. So we used Open Table to find a place. And we had a craving for a steak. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised. It's old fashioned dated. But the salad was great the steak was really fabulous! The service was good natured eager to please, though lacking experience. It was more expensive than we wanted, but we got more than we expected. This place is now on our list!
We went here on New Years eve as a contigicancy plan. It's an older place with an older crowd. The food was good, but entirely to expensive for what was served. The wine list was limited and they didn't have the bottle we asked for, however the manager/ owner gave us a better bottle for the price of the one we wanted, but then they ran out of that wine. It was okay, but i don't think I'll be going back.
My wife and I dined at The Essex House for Christmas dinner last night. The ambiance was incredibly charming, and the service was warm, efficient, and attentive. I ordered the ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection—trust me, I'm a tough critic when it comes to steaks. My wife chose the stuffed chicken, and both of us were absolutely delighted with our meals. I highly recommend this restaurant!
My boyfriend and I went there for dinner and the service was great! we got a bottle of Merlot which was fantastic! I got shrimp scampi which came over rice and normally I have it over pasta but it was delicious and filling! They have all different options on their menu! I will go back for another romantic evening!

A great place. Loves the employees who always make sure you are comfortable. Brunch with Santa is a tradition that we have for a few years.
I drove all the way there, only to find out that they were closed. They really need to update their hours.
