We originally planned to eat at a different location, but they were without a chef at the time, so we were directed to the Fleece Inn. I must say, thank you for the recommendation. This old-fashioned pub restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with beams and an open fire, and offered a limited menu. I ordered the chicken breast with orzo, spinach, and feta, and it was a delightful combination with a moist chicken breast. It was absolutely delicious. Beautiful ambience. The restaurant is very well laid out. Plenty of room to enjoy conversation without being able to hear everyone else's. The duck, fish and chips and fish pie were amazing as were the chips.(Only one small criticism was the steak and oxtail pie, which was not as well received). Unfortunately we couldn't sample the desserts as there was an electrical fault in the kitchen, but I'm sure they would have been as amazing as the main course. The waiting staff were so professional and really lovely. The Fleece was a real treat! Can't wait to visit again.
The food at this restaurant never disappoints. While it may be pricier, the quality of the dishes definitely justifies the cost. The burger and chips were outstanding, and my husband loved his steak and ale pie. The desserts are not just your typical frozen pub fare. The restaurant has a lovely, elegant country pub atmosphere and is also dog-friendly.
Sat in bar area as had our dog. Setting is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Attention to details such as Noble Isle products in the toilets. Beer very good and the Sunday dinner was, without exception, the best I have ever had. Every element was perfect. Prices very reasonable for the quality of ingredients.

Absolutely top notch quality food had the trout and cesar salad delicious cooked to perfection. The Eaton Mess was to die for. Highly recommended and exceptionally priced for this restauramt quality food. Staff friendly and attententive. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Nice food and atmosphere in this lovely pub. Wished there would’ve been a wider menu for both main menu and childrens menu but we still enjoyed the meal. Dogs are welcome which is a great bonus for us and they had high chairs and baby change facilities too for our baby.
We have visited this restaurant multiple times and it has always been a pleasant experience. Despite the full car park, the restaurant was quiet. The food was delicious as always, with a great selection of beer and friendly service.
The Fleece is walking distance from my son's house. Love that it's dog friendly, has real fires, and flag floors. Dan never fails to disappoint. Good beer and great food. Wish we could move the place nearer to me!

Great afternoon, place is spotless and well worth the trek out, both had pork sunday lunch both ham and beef options looking spot on to. All staff very pleasant beer was cracking and we will defo be back.
Lovely location ; staff very nice and friendly . Platter of bread olives , humous and oil. To start ….. Then Vegan bowl x2 ; Rigbye eye steak and a plough man’s all very nice .
