When we arrived asked if serving food and said ues so ordered but to be told did not have item on memue so re ordered someting else again not on menu so ordered again you guessed not on menu (ran out) so finally ordered the pie sounds nice (the George pie) bit it's basically a cottage pie and a 2 veg with no serving spoons over priced I had a burger it was more bun than burger over all horrid and defo would not go back also note to chef don't shout at staff so customers can hear poor girl serving us was so embarrassed you really need to redo your prices to reflect amount amd quality of food that is served

A palmers pub got to be a good start. Got in around noon nice buzzy chatty atmosphere . Just two of us needing a refresher after mooching around the Saturday market Got seated at table 11. Palmer’s 200 excellent Soup of the day excellent Lunch as a whole excellent. Being sat with a full view of the small kitchen just one thing to say Good job guys! BUT please. Head ware should really be worn Very suprised it wasn’t. Price per person: £10–20

The George has recently changed hands and its interior has been updated to a high standard but not so much as to lose any of its character. We just had sandwiches and shared a bowl of chips...the sarnies were great but, oh, what chips! Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside the best I've ever tasted! Great friendly welcome, warm atmosphere, good music in the background and brilliant COVID lunch menu. How they do it for the price I don't know. Beautiful hot, delicious food and well presented. All credits to the landlord whose initiative it was to do an affordable menu, keep The George as a special place for locals meet and enjoy businesses. Well done. Reserva una mesa ahora

Came for a very last minute roast lunch today and they were very accommodating both me and my husband had roast beef and our children had fresh home made chicken goujons and chips all came out very nicely presented highly recommend and we will certainly be returning Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Wonderful Sunday Dinner

Very welcome. Traditional pub. Good local beers and very good freshly cooked quality meal with cheerful staff. Everything beautifully presented and all that should be expected in a good pub with food.
