The cafe was quite busy, but none of the items on the menu appealed to any of us. We ended up ordering three ciabattas with sausage and brie and one pitta with chicken, as we couldn't choose fillings. We sat outside in the sunshine, but were surrounded by 15 dogs at one point. Despite being on leads, some owners were careless about their dogs' behavior, such as trying to grab food from a young boy or chewing someone's sandals. After waiting for 45 minutes, our food finally arrived. Unfortunately, the "hot sandwiches" were lukewarm and our plates were half filled with gritty rocket leaves. I was amazed by the wide variety of delicious food choices at this restaurant. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the vegan and gluten-free options available. Their friendly and relaxed attitude made me feel at ease dining here, without feeling embarrassed about my dietary restrictions.

I purchased two frozen Dartington Dinners on Mother's Day and only realized the next day that one was 2 weeks past the expiration date and the other 3 days over. I was very surprised and disappointed by this.

Good place to eat after visiting the gardens. I chose to have the salads option where you could pick a choice of 5 which you could see in the chiller display. Very tasty and filling. Good service.

Great cafe, with outside seating. Highly recommend the kimchi and cheddar hot ciabatta. Friendly service, slight boho vibe. Good value.

Always stop here pre or post dog walking thro the Estate. Lovely grub and good service. Probably the best coffee in Devon!
