I ordered a ham from this business on 11/10/2020 and spoke to donna. I told her I need a ham that would feed 11-16 people to christmas because our family came together on holy evening and my son on 23rd December would pick up the ham. I asked her if she needed a pay or cash on the phone and she said no. she said that would be good and I would receive an email confirmation. I called her back on 11/12/2020 because I did not receive the confirmation and she said there was a glimm in the system. they confirmed our order again. I will send an email to the download via their website on 11/16/2020 and never received an answer. When my son went on December 23rd to get the ham, was he told that there was no command? he said they had 4 pounds of ham available or a 10 pounds of ham. he took the ten pounds when it was cheaper. I'll never order another one from one of the shops. the ham was not as good as the ones bought at aldi.
I pre-ordered a Turkey a week before Thanksgiving. I set my pickup for Wednesday 11/25. When I arrived at the store I was told my Turkey was accidentally sold earlier in the day and all they had was Ham. My family can not have Ham and so here I was left at 5 PM the night before Thanksgiving to get a plan B in place. It?s one thing to make mistakes, but to not even call and warn customers of those mistakes is unacceptable. Not only that, but to have a manager take all your information again because he wanted to make it right, and you hear nothing from them, again shows the lack of customer service. I would think twice before depending on them for any important event.
I have ordered my bone in ham from this business for years and really liked the online order now in place. But this time I was very disappointed with my ham. I order huge ham, so usually about $95. You don't let them see the ham you get for Covid anymore. Use to be, you can see a new ham and accept or ask. The ham I got for Easter was very fat and burned on one side. I never would have accepted it, especially not for $95. If customers are no longer allowed to see, I recommend changing the packaging. I don't buy meat without looking at it, it seems reasonable to see an expensive ham.
I've had Honey Baked Ham many times before when others brought it or had it. This is the first time I've bought one myself. The workers did a great job of offering suggestions of what sides we should get for the group we were having. It's a bit of a drive for us but will be worth doing it in the future.
