We came in for food and was not disappointed. Chicken goujons, freshly made , were absolutely delicious. My daughter in law had sausage and mash and she loved that. My son had rack of ribs. His only complaint was there wasn’t enough they were so good. Chips were lovely and crunchy and everything was piping hot. Faultless. It’s our second visit to the area son has moved here) and this is the cleanest place we have visited. Everywhere else we visited I would say to my husband “ Does anyone know how to clean around here?” Well the lady who has this establishment does!! We will definitely be back on our next visit . You won’t be disappointed I can guarantee it!
Our experience at this pub was unfortunately very disappointing. One of the staff members, a lady from Yorkshire, was extremely rude and even bullied one of our group members. She showed a lack of professionalism by rolling her eyes when our card wasn't contactless. We felt very unwelcome and believe that this staff member should not be working in the hospitality industry. This incident occurred around 5 pm on June 18th. We don't want to cause any trouble for others, as it was solely due to one staff member. The pub has potential to be lovely if the right staff is in place. This experience unfortunately ruined our Father's Day celebration.
Grim. Walked into this place to be greeted by the nasty land lady.. she had the mannerisms of a dog poo bin and the professionalism of a boarder terrier. She shamed me because I wasn’t from Suffolk, nearly threw fists because I stuttered when ordering a pint and looked at me like I was s on her shoe. And not to mention that fact I’ve booked a tetanus vaccine after ‘washing’ my hands in what might be the dirtiest sink in Suffolk. If you ever feel like popping in to this pub for a drink, save yourself the horrible infection and go buy some special brew from an off licence. 1/10 wouldn’t even take my pet skunk here.
We came to bury on the train (bus replacement) and once we arrived we checked google for reviews and this place had stinking reviews. We avoided for the day until walking past and thought why not let’s go in (as the England game was on) and it was nothing but pleasant. Good beer, nice food (cheesy chips) the staff were friendly and the other customers were also very friendly. We were put off by the previous reviews but I would ignore them and go off this one as we had a nice time!!

This pub is horrendous, and i’m not being a karen. The owner is extremely rude and aggressive for no reason, left me and my friends feeling all very uncomfortable, kicked me out for not buying an alcoholic drink even though i was driving? Will never go back again. I was very polite to her and she was just angry for no reason, they need to get rid of her fr. do not go here if you don’t want your night to be ruined!
The staff were so into themselves and dam right rude !! Hence we did not stay for food ! There was no other customers and no atmosphere...... Apart from the static the barman was giving off !!! As a publicans daughter I was dissatisfied disappointed and shocked at the lack of hospitality!!! Don't do it people go to edmundos there dog friendly and the sweetest staff, the foods rocking too !!!
I had visited this restaurant months ago when I was in town visiting family, and decided to stop by again on a recent Friday night with my wife for a few drinks. The pub was relatively quiet, but we had no problems at all. The staff we interacted with were friendly, the beer was good, and we ended up being the last ones to leave at closing time. We would definitely consider going back again.
Visited since the reopening, had some he/she/they person explain they won’t be showing football as it “attracts the wrong crowd” very disappointing that people still have this attitude in 2023.

This pub is terrible. The owner is rude, the customer service is terrible, it's overpriced, and not clean. It's the worst pub I've ever been to.
The “owner” has the worst customer service and is rude. The drinks were over priced and all the customers even agreed. Never going back again.
