I must say that we were positively surprised by this pub. Stepping in felt like stepping in a time capsule back to 1999, which we liked. The pub looks like it has been lived in for a long time. It has a hidden decking facing the church which is much better then the one that faces the road. The food was surprisingly good even you can see that there are not a lot of people opt to eat there. Planned a Saturday lunch walk with this pub in the middle. Was very excited to go from the good reviews for food but kitchen closed. Two others in the very tired pub with unfriendly staff who as we were sat in the empty forecourt asked us if we were going to use the pub very much to try and move us on. Go to The Fox much friendlier and wonderful menu. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
A lovely village pub, passed by whilst we were cycling in the area and dropped in about 8:30pm. The landlord was just about to close up as it was a quiet night but stayed open just for us. Great service and a lovely peaceful location. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We were part of a reasonably sized group and were made to feel very welcome. Food was great fish platter is highly recommended. Drinks were reasonably priced and staff were super helpful. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Popped in with a friend who lives locally, we were a little late for lunch but wasn't a problem to be served, good local pub grub and a lovely couple of pints of Youngs bitter.
Such a lovely, incredibly welcoming and friendly historic proper pub in a gorgeous part of the world. Excellent selection of real ales and ciders. Highly recommended.
