The King's Plaice - Reserva de mesa

Had a few hours out in Southport, called into Kings Plaice for a bite to eat, friend had a small fish and chips with mushy peas , bread and coffee and I had the regular size , cost uust under £14 , well worth the money , fish was absolutely cooked to perfection with a nice covering of light batter , staff friendly and helpful , safety measures well in place , also liked that each table had a large sanitizer to gel your hands once you had sat down to eat

A gastronomic delight, the fish (cod) was excellent cooked to perfection, we were looked after by 3 members of staff, who were very polite and friendly, we enjoyed a good experience and our two yorkies we're welcomed (outside). I have only one critical comment: the toilet could do with a little TLC, toilet seat on the floor and the hand dryer was very poor it wouldn't cost a lot to bring it up to scratch and make it a 5 star experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The staff was very attentive and friendly, although they did playfully tease us and call us names. The food was unfortunately not to my liking as it was overcooked and burnt my mouth. However, my grandmother was pleasantly surprised when she was given an extra portion of her fish supper and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Called in here today with the family for dinner. I ordered haddock with chips and curry sauce with a cold drink which they were still happy to do at the special price. We all really enjoyed the food lovely crisp batter and tasty chips and sauce. We will definitely go again if in southport again. Friendly staff and didn't feel rushed as we have done in other places. very beautiful fish, chips and muddy heaps. it was a senior eating deal for £6.00 great worth for mai 2022. chips crisp and dry, fish slightly broken, exfoliated tasty. came with a pot tee and a piece of bread and butter. personal very friendly and attentive. restaurant exceptionally clean. very fast on a hot plate that makes the difference. will return definitiw.

Arrived at 6.45pm,half the restaurant was closed off ,choice of seating limited,entrance door wide open,cold air blowing through.meal arrived ,has we started eating they started mopping the floor disinfectant smell very strong which didn't go to well with our fish and chips,it masked the aroma of the meal,couldn't wait to leave.very disappointing.

Very good value Fish and chips half the price of that Gordon Ramsey gaff without the faff, with coffee bread and butter. Lovely staff very friendly and chatty. Would go again if in Southport and wanted a decent fish and chips Kids enjoyed there scampi/chips sausage/chip meals also. Very clean also and well maintained with toilets.

visited king’s plaice on 26.9.21 for the first time I have eaten there. I was satisfied with the meal of fish and I had. the fish tasted freshly cooked very humid and crispy the chips are also good. the personal was courteous and attentive and there are toilets inside for customers. worth visiting when they are in southport. I was pleasantly surprised by the gluten-free fish and peas meal with four chips that my friend ordered. It was very tasty and worth the 15-minute wait. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant as it was a good find.
